Victory! Shutdown Resolved and SNAP Benefits Restored

Celebrating the end of the longest U.S. government shutdown.

What Happened

The 43-day shutdown began on October 1, 2025, and concluded on November 12, 2025, when President Trump signed a bipartisan funding bill. This agreement extends government operations through January 30, 2026, and provides full-year funding for essential agencies, including the Department of Agriculture, which secures SNAP benefits for 42 million Americans. It also ensures backpay for furloughed workers and includes protections against future firings during shutdowns.

Thank You!

A heartfelt thanks to all advocates, constituents, and bipartisan negotiators who helped achieve this resolution and safeguard vulnerable families.
